Sunny Isles Beach man hits Super Touch Lotto slot machine jackpot for more than $164,0002 April 2012HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – Pavle Stanimirovic won $164,186.15 on a Super Touch Lotto progressive slot machine at Seminole Casino Hollywood on Mar. 6. But that was after he had already won $2,400 on a different Super Touch Lotto machine, and before he hit for approximately $5,300 on Blazing 7’s Quick Hit and another $3,400 on a Triple Dollar slot to take home winnings totaling $175,000. Said casino general manager Adrian Fox: “When we say we have the loosest slots, we aren’t kidding!” A regular guest from Sunny Isles Beach in northeast Miami/Dade County, Stanimirovic said he had been a poor poker player until his father passed away six months ago, when he began accompanying his slot-playing mom and eventually reluctantly tried it. And he’s been winning big ever since. Asked if he had a system, Stanimirovic, an independent movie and TV producer who works with LEOM Productions of Miami and Los Angeles, quickly replied: “It’s luck. It’s a higher power. You have to be at the right machine at the right time.” Upon further questioning, he allowed: “If I had a system it probably wouldn’t work for you.” But he did let on that the bigger you bet on slots, the more you win. “I bet at least $2,000.” “Most people, if they win $2,500 on a slot they leave and I can’t blame them. But build up your courage and keep playing. You’ll win $25,000 or more.” As for the circumstances of the $164,186.15 jackpot, the 39-year-old watched as 40 or 50 people worked that bank of machines “jacking up” the winning Super Touch Lotto slot to over $100,000. He was surprised when they all left. “I sat down and won around $1,800 after about 20 minutes of play, and I kept winning. The guy next to me hit for $2,400 and somebody else yelled out they won too.” “I was betting $10 a push when five numbers came up – 770072. The place turned into a madhouse; an unheard-of jackpot. It was one of the happiest days of my life. I’m 39 and I didn’t expect to hit that much until I’m maybe 60 years old.” |
