SSP Solutions Obtains Worldwide Rights to Interactive Gaming Technology

27 September 2001

LAS VEGAS--(Press Release)--Sept. 27, 2001-- SSP Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq:SSPX), providing solutions and services that secure access control and real-time movement of financial transactions and other valued digital content, today announced it has obtained worldwide rights to develop and distribute leading Internet lottery and gaming technology. SSP will add advanced, hardware-based security infrastructure and user-friendly smart card enrollment to interactive games developed by Gaming & Entertainment Technology (GET), an international gaming application software developer, delivering a powerful end-to-end solution for secure online gaming.

By obtaining these rights, SSP will address specific technology issues facing Nevada's licensed casino operators as they apply for the new online gaming license recently approved by the state of Nevada. SSP's technology will address regulatory needs including the verified location and age of the gamer, protection of the gamer's personal information and guaranteed non-repudiation of casino transactions.

``We now have a solid foundation for supplying secure products and services for the online gaming industry,'' said Richard Depew, president and chief operating officer, SSP Solutions, Inc. ``By integrating GET's high quality product suite with our security technology, we are jumping out ahead in a market that, according to Bear Stearns, is projected to grow to $5 billion by 2003(1).''

GET, recognized as a leader in interactive gaming technology, has developed Internet Casino Gaming Suite (ICGS), a government certified and regulated online gaming system representing a complete solution designed for first world casino operators. The ICGS product range meets or exceeds current technological and business standards and also meets current government, taxation authority and casino industry reporting standards.

``Although our product offerings represent sophisticated, quality gaming applications, we needed state of the art security infrastructure to deliver a comprehensive technology solution for casino operators,'' said Tibor Vertes, chief executive officer, GET Systems. ``Our relationship with SSP allows us to maintain our focus on quality product and technology development, and together we expect to deliver a total solution to the growing interactive gaming market.''

ICGS includes a broad suite of online casino games and multiple three- and five-reel slots games. ICGS offers multi-player functionality supported by a comprehensive suite of help desk and administration facilities, a modular, scaleable architecture, high quality SUN software and hardware and military strength encryption.

``GET's commitment to developing high quality technology for the licensed online gaming industry is reflected in its advanced product offerings. Australian authorities have already validated GET's Internet Casino Gaming Suite for use under stringent government regulations,'' said Rob Gorman, managing director of strategic alliances, SSP Solutions, Inc. ``Leveraging GET's Internet gaming know-how greatly boosts our secure gaming market strategy and positioning, and is particularly important as recognized casino brands respond to new licensing policies for interactive gaming here in the U.S.''
