Odds makers are favoring a second subway series in six years for this year's fall classic as both the New York Mets and New York Yankees are the front runners. Odds of the Bronx Bombers meeting the Mets in the World Series are 5-2.

The two top offensive teams in the National League will be squaring off as the Mets, who own the top spot on the odds chart at 6-5, will be facing off against the NL Wildcard Los Angeles Dodgers in what could be one of the toughest division series in these playoffs. The San Diego Padres will face the St. Louis Cardinal for the second straight year. Although this time, the Pads' are the favorite in the series as the Cardinals are the 4-1 NL underdog.

In the American League, the Yankees are a 5-7 bet and will be looking to capture their 40th pennant. Facing the pinstripes are the AL Wildcard Detroit Tigers, who will be making their 11th appearance in postseason and sit at 3-1 on the odds chart. Rounding out the AL pennant race are 3-1 Minnesota Twins, who will have homefield advantage to start the series hosting the 4-1 Oakland Athletics at the Metrodome.
