Sportsbook.com Expects Record Masters Betting

The biggest names in golf will battle for the coveted Green Jacket and Sportsbook.com is expecting to record the greatest volume of bets for golf in the online industry's history. Canada's Stephen Ames, the hottest player on the tour, will lead a field of veterans and upstarts alike in the quest to de-claw Tiger's hold on golf supremacy.

While Tiger remains the 3-1 odds on favorite to capture his fifth Masters title, it's Ames, a winner at last week's TPC, who has seen the greatest improvement in odds. Ames, once a 250-1 long shot is now listed at 75-1 coming off the greatest week of his career. A win by Ames would be the second ever by a Canadian following Mike Weir's victory in 2003.

Also rounding into form of late are perennial contenders Vijay Singh (10- 1) and Retief Goosen (12-1) as well as Sergio Garcia (20-1) who is still looking for his first Major tournament win.
