Sona Mobile awarded NYRA contract16 October 2007NEW YORK -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Sona Mobile Holdings Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: SNMB), a leading provider of secure software solutions for gaming and entertainment, has reached an agreement with the New York Racing Association ("NYRA") to provide a mobile wagering application. The contract is exclusive with Sona, and is for a three-year term, with NYRA having the option to renew for an additional year. This Agreement and Application are subject to all necessary regulatory approvals. Sona has partnered with The Jockey Club Technology Services, Inc. to provide hosting, 24/7 managed services, and data communications for the NYRA mobile wagering contract. The new mobile wagering application for NYRA will be powered by Sona's web and wireless platform, mWager(TM). The Sona-powered mobile wagering application functionality includes horse, owner and trainer names, runner number, morning line, as well as live current odds, scratches, race results, and the ability to securely place all wagers (win, place, show and exotic wagers) via a customer's mobile device, including BlackBerry(R) and Windows Mobile(R) cellular phones. NYRA handles over $1.7 billion a year in New York State based wagers, and provides the best racing content in the industry from its three racing facilities, Aqueduct, Belmont Park and Saratoga. "We selected Sona because they successfully demonstrated a thorough understanding of server-based gaming and wagering applications for mobile devices," said John Ryan, NYRA Senior Vice President and CAO. "Through our new mobile wagering application, customers will be able to receive real-time racing and wagering information from cell phones, handhelds and PDAs. This technology will allow NYRA to offer our customers the ultimate in wagering privacy, accessibility, and convenience." "The Jockey Club Technology Services, Inc. is pleased to partner with Sona once again in providing mobile services to NYRA customers," said Alan Marzelli, president of The Jockey Club and chairman of The Jockey Club Technology Services, Inc. "This initiative is a natural extension of the project that we collaborated on earlier in the year to help NYRA launch its internet wagering platform." "We are excited that NYRA has chosen Sona to provide a mobile application to horse racing enthusiasts throughout New York State," stated Shawn Kreloff, chairman and CEO of Sona Mobile. "Earlier this year we introduced an Internet-based wagering application for NYRA at nyra.com. Through the launch of the new mobile wagering application, we will offer a seamless solution providing NYRA's customers a consistent and intuitive interface for race information or to wager, whether that is on the Internet or their mobile device."
