Snipes on Wrong End of Law at Mandalay Bay

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Jan. 29, 2001 – As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal: ``Tough-guy actor Wesley Snipes met his match at Mandalay Bay -- a security force that handcuffed and removed him from the casino.

``Snipes, who starred in "U.S. Marshals," was on the other end of law and order after acting up early Thursday. An eyewitness said a struggling Snipes, a martial arts expert, was being escorted to a holding area about 7 a.m.

``Numerous sources said Snipes, who was spotted in a high-roller salon hours before his meltdown, became belligerent at a center lounge and was harassing hotel guests.

"Three security guards had his arms severely lifted behind him and they were heading toward the sports book, where they have a holding area," said the eyewitness.

``…Snipes was held in the cooler for a few hours before being allowed to return to his room…"
