Six Top Race Drivers Join MDI's Team17 May 2000HARTFORD, Conn.--(Press Release)--May 17, 2000--A group of top NASCAR® race drivers have agreed to join industry leader MDI Entertainment Inc. for lottery games and promotions, the company announced today. The drivers have awarded exclusive licensing rights for government-sponsored lottery games and promotions to MDI Entertainment, Inc. (OTC BB: MDIH - news). The Company will offer games and promotions featuring these famous drivers to lotteries in North America and elsewhere. The Wisconsin Lottery will be the first to launch an instant game featuring the drivers. RACE FOR CASH, a $2 ticket with a top cash prize of $25,000, goes on sale in late June. The game will include a second chance bonus in which lottery players will be able to enter non-winning tickets for the chance to win a trip to the NASCAR® race of their choice and prize packages of driver-related merchandise. The following are the six MDI licensed drivers: Dale Earnhardt Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Bill Elliott Matt Kenseth Jeff Burton Mark Martin "NASCAR® mania is sweeping the nation," said Steve Saferin, President and CEO of MDI. "We are delighted to be able to offer a package of some of the industry's most successful and most popular drivers from the legendary Dale Earnhardt to the leading Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Matt Kenseth." Mr. Saferin noted that as of May 6, three of the MDI licensed drivers are among the top five drivers in the NASCAR® 2000 standings, and all six are in the top 20. "The father and son Earnhardts continue to show the racing world why they warrant their passionate fan following, with Dale Earnhardt Senior's win in the Cracker Barrel and Dale Earnhardt Junior becoming the first driver to win two races this season," said Mr. Saferin. He continued by saying, "Jeff Burton and Mark Martin have race wins already this year, and veteran Bill Elliott, NASCAR's most popular driver for most of the last decade, is having a terrific season as well." "The Wisconsin native has quickly come into national prominence with his performance in his inaugural season of Winston Cup racing." On January 31, MDI Entertainment, Inc. announced that it signed an agreement with The Lottery Channel, which will merge into a wholly owned subsidiary of MDI.
