Shuffle Master Enters into Patent Agreement

LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ National Market: SHFL) announced today that it has entered into an Option and Exclusivity Agreement with ENPAT, Inc. for the purchase of two patents owned by ENPAT which relate to RFID technology for use in a casino. The Agreement provides Shuffle Master with an exclusive option to purchase U. S. patent number 5,735,742 and U.S. patent number 5,651,548. Financial terms of the Option and Exclusivity Agreement and of any purchase of the subject patents were not disclosed.
