Shuffle Master Appoints New VP30 July 2004LAS VEGAS -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Shuffle Master, Inc. (NASDAQ National Market: SHFL) announced today that Gordon Dickie has been promoted to Vice President of Compliance and Government Affairs. "I am pleased to announce Gordon's promotion and feel that it reflects his integral position within our company," stated Paul C. Meyer, President and Chief Operating Officer. "Since Gordon joined Shuffle Master earlier this year, he has significantly enhanced our relationships with numerous gaming commissions, departments of justice, politicians and regulators around the country, and his diverse gaming and executive experience will continue to be an integral part of our success as we continue with our future growth strategy." Dickie joined Shuffle Master in February from the Cabazon Gaming Commission where as Executive Director, he oversaw all Commission accounting and internal control policies and procedures, NIGC regulations, state compact requirements, and commission rules. A retired San Diego police officer, Dickie entered the gaming industry as an enforcement agent and later was assigned to the special investigations and intelligence unit for the Nevada Gaming Control. His professional history features extensive casino operations, security and surveillance experience that includes a variety of positions for numerous gaming entities including Harrah's, Primadonna Resorts and the Hilton Gaming Corporation. |
