Sheldon Gordon to develop Pocono Casino5 December 2006GREENWICH, Connecticut -– (PRESS RELEASE) -- Regarded as one of the most daring and innovative developers in the retail and entertainment industry, Sheldon Gordon, the pioneering force behind Gordon Group Holdings and projects like The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas and The Pier Shops in Atlantic City, now brings his expertise to the Pocono Manor Resort Casino & Convention Center. Pocono Manor Investor Partners Greg Matzel and Morris Bailey, along with Dennis Gomes, pending CEO of the PMRC&CC operations, turned to Gordon Group Holdings to provide retail development and leasing consultation on the Pocono region's most anticipated gaming and entertainment destination and resort. Gordon Group Holdings joins a lineup of proven industry specialists to create the Pocono Manor Resort & Casino, a wide-ranging resort destination that is truly spectacular in scope, and second to none on the Eastern seaboard. The hotel and casino will also feature 36 holes of golf, including a new 18-hole championship golf course surrounding the proposed resort complex. A 12-acre man-made lake will be located in front of the hotel. Adjacent to the hotel, customers will be able to park in one of over 12,000 parking spaces (both surface and garage) or utilize one of the onsite or offsite shuttle busses servicing Pocono Manor and other area attractions. It is projected to create 4,000 resort-related jobs and an additional 1,685 indirect jobs, making the Pocono Manor Resort & Casino the second largest employer in the region. |
