Scot Bingo celebrates Robbie Burns Day

24 January 2008

SCOTLAND -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Scot Bingo, Scotland's leading online bingo site, is celebrating Burns Night with some very special offers.

Any player who manages to hit a full house in under 43 balls on Friday (25 January) will not only receive £1,000 but will also receive a year's supply of haggis.

I can't wait for Friday night, I reckon that there will be a great atmosphere in the chat rooms and although I'm not sure what I'd do with all the haggis, I'm certainly not shy about having the occasional dram. News Image

And the Scot Bingo player who gains a full house in the fewest calls between 6pm and midnight on Burns Night will win a bottle of 10 years old single malt Talisker whisky from the Isle of Skye.

Scot Bingo are the only bingo site recognising Burns Night this Friday and have put to shame other competitors who have ignored the Scottish Festival.

Scot Bingo marketing director George Oborne said: "We have 150kg of haggis ready to send to anyone who gets a full house in under 43 balls on Burns Night. The winner can either have it shipped all at once or could wait until next year and have a real Burns Night feast with their friends and family."

He continued, "Burns night is a really important event in the Scottish calendar. Robert Burns, our favourite son, is of course the centre of attention but what is also is important is the bringing together of friends and family. This is what we want to focus on at Scot Bingo -- to bring all our friends together, have a really good time and maybe even win a whole lot of haggis."

Scot Bingo has continued to be heralded as the best place to play bingo online in Scotland due to its good awareness of Scottish traditions and the friendly Scottish community present in Scot Bingo's chat rooms.

Scot Bingo regular Andrew Weir said of Burns night, "I can't wait for Friday night, I reckon that there will be a great atmosphere in the chat rooms and although I'm not sure what I'd do with all the haggis, I'm certainly not shy about having the occasional dram."
