Sahara Hotel and Casino Kicks-Off 50th Anniversary Celebration7 May 2002LAS VEGAS--(Press Release) -- Sahara Hotel and Casino is commemorating their 50th Anniversary celebration by launching the premier of the first interactive Web site capturing the history of a Las Vegas casino. Designed by Geary Interactive, a locally-based interactive agency, the first-of-its-kind site allows locals and visitors from around the globe the opportunity to enjoy and interact with Vegas' rich and colorful history as part of the year-long Sahara Hotel and Casino celebration. The interactive history timeline Web site launches during Las Vegas Tourism Week, May 5-1l. The Sahara Hotel and Casino is using this new medium to replace a traditional anniversary bash. This new site will enable visitors to celebrate with the property all year long instead of having a one-time blowout. The anniversary never stops. This timeless outreach effort is an out-of-the-box solution to traditional marketing and outreach initiatives -- putting Sahara Hotel and Casino on the forefront of the hotel and casino industry in their cutting-edge marketing and customer relations. One of the hottest aspects of the site is the ability to tour each of the past five decades in a themed setting that includes hidden elements for users to explore. Site visitors will be able to enjoy anniversary, special event and overall Las Vegas updates. They will also be able to submit their own Sahara experience and be a part of history themselves. Other elements allow users the opportunity to experience Sahara's historical stories, images and audio voice-overs, as well as witness the latest in Flash scripting technology. Geary Interactive built the site in a scalable fashion to allow Sahara Hotel and Casino to grow and add content frequently to keep it fresh and "on-the-edge" for site visitors. "Sahara's anniversary site offers an endless outreach to visitors throughout the world," said Andreas Roell, president, Geary Interactive. "We're excited to have been a partner with the Sahara Hotel and Casino on this project and being a part of their 50th anniversary kick-off. Whether users have been to Las Vegas once or a dozen times, they will be captivated by the site and have a great time exploring it." |
