Revenues for Mississippi 's Casinos Fell Slightly in February22 March 2001JACKSON, Mississippi – March 22, 2001 – As reported by the Associated Press: "Mississippi casino revenue fell slightly in February, and industry observers say they don't expect any significant gains until the statewide market expands. "Mississippi's 30 state-regulated casinos brought in $227.9 million in February, compared with $229.3 million in the same month last year, according to new figures from the state Tax Commission. "…The 12 casinos on the Coast reported revenue of $94.9 million in February, compared with $95.3 million in February 2000. "In Tunica and the river counties, casinos won $132.9 million last month, about $1 million less than the same month a year ago.
