Reno Hosts Nevada Gaming Summit

"The summit's subtitle is 'Market Growth or Market Survival?'

"Produced by Reno-based Raving Consulting and Ascend Media of Las Vegas, the conference is the first in a series to address troubled gambling markets. Because of the quickly expanding tribal casinos in Northern California, Reno tops the list.

"..Raving President Dennis Conrad said the conference will have plenty of 'tough love' from such speakers as Bill Eadington, a professor at the University of Nevada, Reno and director of the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming.
