Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Wednesday's Powerball drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $49 million. The cash option for the Saturday, August 24 drawing will be an estimated $28.5 million There were no jackpot winners Wednesday but there were thousands of happy people because 284,134 players across the nation won a total of more than $2.4 million in prizes in America's Game. The numbers drawn were: 1, 6, 43, 47, 48, and the Powerball was 36. The Power Play multiplier was 1. Ten players correctly matched the 5 white numbers and won $100,000. The tickets were sold in Arizona, DC, Kentucky (2), Minnesota (2), Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania. Fifteen players matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $5,000. This current jackpot run started with the Wednesday, July 24 drawing. The drawing on Wednesday night was the 9th consecutive draw without being hit. More than 2.4 million Powerball players across the nation have won prizes since this jackpot run started in late July. Players should carefully check their tickets after every draw. Even if there are no jackpot winners there are always tens of thousands of winners at other prize levels. Players purchased more than 11.8 million tickets between Sunday and Wednesday night.
