Ponte 16 ready for grand opening

HONG KONG, China -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Macau Success Limited ("Macau Success", HKSE Code: 0487, and its subsidiaries, collectively the "Group") proudly announces the grand opening of its flagship project, Ponte 16, a world-class integrated casino-entertainment resort on 1 February 2008. More than 60,000 visitors thronged through Ponte 16 over the opening weekend. Upon completion, the resort will comprise a five-star luxury hotel – Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16, a casino, a shopping arcade and food and beverage facilities. The current phase opens with two levels of casino areas offering 105 gaming tables and 300 slot machines.

Over one thousand VIP guests and celebrities attended the ceremony to mark this milestone for Macau Success. The Grand Opening Ceremony was hosted by Dr. Stanley Ho, Managing Director of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A., Mr. Sonny Yeung, Chairman and Executive Director of Macau Success and Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pier 16; Dr. Ambrose So, Director of Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, S.A. and Director and Chairman of Pier 16; and Dr. Han Chang-Woo, Chairman of Maruhan Corporation. Guests of honor included Dr. Edmond Ho, Chief Executive Officer, Government of the Macau SAR; Ms. Gao Yan, Deputy Director, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in Macau SAR; Mr. Huang Songpu, Deputy Commissioner, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macau SAR; and Mr. Francis Tam, Secretariat for Economy and Finance, Government of the Macau SAR.

"Our flagship project, Ponte 16, will catalyze Macau's entertainment-travel trend,' said Mr. Sonny Yeung, Chairman of Macau Success. "It is currently the only integrated casino-entertainment resort situated in the Inner Harbor of Macau, bringing together entertainment, history and culture for the first time. This enhances the quality of the Macau's travel industry and further develops the local economy."

Ponte 16 integrated casino-entertainment resort is built over 2.3 hectares. Its architectural design draws inspiration from Macau's East-West cultural pluralism, featuring a unique European theme infused with traditional Chinese elements. Ponte 16 is located in the Inner Harbor of Macau, opposite to Wanzai, Zhuhai, enjoying a magnificent "one river, two banks" scenery. The two-minute ferry connection between Ponte 16 and Zhuhai provides convenient access for mainland tourists. Ferries to Shekou and Jiangmen are also available. The casino occupies a floor area of 270,000 square feet, housing 22 VIP tables and 10 premium market tables, 120 mass market tables and 320 slot machines.

Managed by the world-renowned hotel management group Accor, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 has 423 guest rooms, including 394 standard guest rooms, 10 suites and an exclusive block of 19 VIP Mansions. Featuring a 24-hour restaurant, chic bars, spa and modern fitness centers, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 provides guests with exceptional standards of service and comfort.

Ponte 16 boasts several restaurants which take guests on a gastronomical tour of the world. The Fortune Inn Restaurant serves the best in Cantonese cuisine, Edo Japanese Restaurant features alluring dishes from Hokkaido, Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao serves excellent Northern Chinese cuisine with hand-pulled noodles and dumplings, and there is the not-to-be-missed Harlan's Restaurant headed by master chef Mr. Harlan Goldstein.

While Ponte 16 will be the Group's main growth and revenue driver, the Group will continue to adopt a three-pronged strategy based on gaming and entertainment-related, cruise and travel businesses. Going forward, cruise business will continue to generate steady cash flow for the Group, while the travel business will create synergy effect on our other businesses, directing traffic to Ponte 16.
