Pokertek secures seven Australian innovation patents

MATTHEWS, North Carolina -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- PokerTek, the industry pioneer and worldwide leader in automated poker tables and related software, announced today they have received seven certified Australian innovation patents. This announcement represents a key milestone for PokerTek as the company's innovative gaming products continue to gain market acceptance worldwide.

The patents cover a wide variety of table and gameplay features including use of a center console, methods for obscuring playing cards, electronic card tournaments and various game administrator tools and were awarded to PokerTek in late summer 2008.
