Poker pros anticipate biggest NJSCOOP yet8 May 2017(PRESS RELEASE) -- Team PokerStars Pro Chris Moneymaker and PokerStars Mind Sports Ambassador Jennifer Shahade have both highlighted key events in the richest-ever PokerStars New Jersey Spring Championship of Online Poker series, which runs from now until 22 May and guarantees $1.2 million across the 17-day schedule. "There's so much variety on offer in this year's NJSCOOP series," commented Chris. "I'm sure everyone will find something they want to play. I'm particularly looking forward to the Mixed NLHE/PLO, as I love to vary the format throughout the tournament. And obviously the Main Event is a real opportunity to win big at a fairly reasonable buy-in." Look out for him at the tables in Event 25-H NLHE [Progressive SuperKO] on 17 May, Event 26-H PL Omaha [Progressive SuperKO] on 18 May, as well as Event 31-H Mixed NLHE/PLO [Progressive SuperKO] and Event 32-H NLHE [Main Event], both on 21 May. PokerStars Mind Sports Ambassador Jennifer Shahade will also be getting in on the action. "I'm very excited to play NJSCOOP 2017, as I'll be able to play some great tournaments," she said. Watch out for her on 21 May in the No Limit Hold'em Main Event. "I'm looking forward to the Main Event, as a large guarantee always reminds me how far PokerStars has come in New Jersey in such a short time. I also plan to play in the 3 Max Hyper rebuy and the PLO SuperKO — it'll be a great opportunity to improve my PLO," she said. The series prize pool beats the previous guarantee of NJSCOOP 2016 (at $1.1 million). There are 70 tournaments (35 events) on offer across a range of game formats, with both high and low buy-in levels. Stakes will range from $10 to $1,000, ensuring a tournament for every bank roll. Highlights of the series include the $500 No Limit Hold'em Main Event (high) with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool and the $50 No Limit Hold'em Main Event (low) — $30,000 guaranteed. Satellites and qualifiers are running online from just $0.50. In addition to standard satellites, there are a variety of exciting ways to secure a seat in NJSCOOP including Special $4 Spin & Go tournaments, NJSCOOP Main Event weekly freerolls and an $8,000 Main Event satellite ticket giveaway.
