Perini Wins Green Valley Ranch Station Contract3 February 2004HENDERSON, Nevada – (Press Release) -- Station Casinos Inc. awarded Perini Building Co. a $63 million construction contract to expand Green Valley Ranch Station, a four-diamond casino resort. Perini Building Co. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Perini Corp. (AMEX:PCR). Perini is adding 298 rooms, mostly suites, and expanding the ballroom by 85,000 square feet. Perini has committed to deliver the project in December 2004. Perini built the original $300 million resort in 2002. Green Valley Ranch is located seven minutes from the Las Vegas Strip in Henderson, one of the fastest growing areas in the country. The resort resembles an old-world Mediterranean villa. Design elements include Venetian plastered walls, frescoed ceilings, hand-forged wrought iron balconies, and 16th-century street lanterns. The expansion marks the third construction contract awarded to Perini by Station Casinos Inc. In addition to Green Valley Ranch, Perini recently built Thunder Valley Casino outside of Sacramento Calif., for the United Auburn Indian Community ('UAIC'). Station Casinos Inc. was the developer and continues to manage the project. 'We expect the construction process to run exceptionally smooth,' commented Joe Haley, operations manager for Perini Building Co. Most of the design and construction team that built the original resort is working on the expansion, including the owner's management team and the architect of record, The Friedmutter Group. Architropolis, the project designer, was also involved in the original project.
