Pensioner's Money Problems Solves with Lottery Win

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by Ananova: "A pensioner has told how he feared he wouldn't have enough money to get through the week, only to learn he'd won £5.6 million (US$9.03 million) on the lottery.

"Andrew Strain, a retired hospital porter, said he `completely died' when he discovered he had won the £5,646,642 jackpot.

"Mr Strain said: `I came back from the social club and I had two fivers left. I had to pay £10 insurance and the paper boy, and I was looking for £15. I knew I was getting my pension on Monday but my thought was, "how was I going to get through the next week?"'

"…Mr Strain, a divorcee, lives alone in a council house but said he had no plans to move. He added: `You can buy a house but you can't buy good neighbours and I would like to stay with them for a lot longer.'

"The pensioner had used the same six numbers every week since the lottery started in 1994…"
