Pennsylvania Lottery Announces Two New Instant Lottery Games

PENNSYLVANIA –(Press Release) -- March 29, 2001 -- Two new instant ticket games from the Pennsylvania Lottery can help you uncover some extra cash this spring. Pharaoh's Gold and Quick 6's debut Tuesday, April 3, 2001.

Pharaoh's Gold is a $2 ticket with a top prize to "treasure" - $25,000. When any of YOUR NUMBERS match any of the PHARAOH'S NUMBERS, you win the prize shown under the matching number. Get a pyramid symbol and win the prize shown under the matching number automatically. There are 10 chances to win on each ticket.

Pharaoh's Gold has over $7 million cash prizes in the game with $2 million in prizes of $25 and $50. There are more than 805,000 automatic win prizes in the game. The odds of winning a Pharaoh's Gold prize are 1-in-3.52.

The $1 Quick 6's ticket has a top prize of $6,000 with more than 285,000 prizes of $6 in the game. Players can win up to six times on one ticket. Find a "6" and win the prize shown under it. Quick 6's has over $8 million in total cash prizes in the game, over $3 million in prizes between $6 and $18. The odds of winning a Quick 6's prize are 1-in-4.56.

The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state Lottery that designates its proceeds to benefit older citizens. Since inception 29 years ago, the Lottery has contributed $11.6 billion to programs that have expanded to include property tax and rent rebates, free and reduced-fare transit for older Pennsylvanians, a co-pay prescription drug program (PACE and PACENET) and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including 650 full- and part-time senior centers, located throughout Pennsylvania. Players must be 18 years of age or older.
