Payback Time For Trump?5 October 2000NEW YORK – Oct. 5, 2000 --Donald Trump is facing a grudge fight from some former business pals who're buying a casino next door to his prized Taj Mahal to steal The Donald's business. "Armed with $6 billion, Nick Ribis - Trump's former right-hand man, who exited the Trump organization last summer - is heading up an effort to take over Resorts International on Atlantic City's Boardwalk. "Bankrolling the project is Tom Barrack, head of Colony Capital LLC, who's also had fallings-out with the developer over other projects they've worked on together. "Barrack had tried to buy all three of Trump's Atlantic City casinos for as much as $500 million this year but Trump turned him down, saying it wasn't enough.
