Online Gambling Firm's Chair Resigns29 August 2005UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Post: "Brian Maccaba, a prominent Irish technology entrepreneur, has resigned from the board of an online gambling firm less than seven weeks after being appointed as its chairman. "Maccaba, who was at the centre of the 'Indecent Proposal' slander trial last year, was appointed chairman of the British firm, Money Gaming Corporation, in June. "Maccaba also emerged as a major investor of the firm, which plans to float on the stock market in the near future. "However, documents lodged with the Companies Office in Britain show that Maccaba has now resigned from the company. "…Money Gaming plans to offer games such as chess, backgammon and bridge rather than traditional games such as online poker. "The firm is targeting young and middle-aged women, and plans to take a commission of between 2 to 10 per cent of all wagers…"
