New Lotto Texas millionaire Plans to Head Back to Work

AUSTIN, Texas -- As reported by the Houston Chronicle: ``Still shaky over his status as an instant millionaire, David Kelly said Monday he has no plans for the $37 million Lotto Texas jackpot he won except to pay his bills and get back to work at his trophy shop.

``Kelly bolted to Austin to claim his biggest trophy -- a check for $24.2 million from the Texas Lottery Commission. The 37-year-old Humble resident got the smaller amount because he chose the immediate cash option rather than an annual payment.

```I still can't grasp the whole thing yet,’ said Kelly, who buys fewer than 100 lottery tickets a year.

``Kelly said he checked his ticket some 40 times to make sure it matched the winning numbers.

``But with customers scheduled to come into the shop where he makes trophies and plaques, Kelly said he planned to get back to work today…”
