"`He's shown to be someone who's very reasonable and understanding of the industry's needs but obviously still accountable to enforcing the rules and regulations governing the industry,' said Wilmott, who is Eastern Division president of Harrah's Entertainment Inc. "…Auriemma, 52, has worked at the DGE for 15 of the last 16 years, including eight years as deputy director. He left the DGE briefly to work in private practice. "…The DGE director oversees a $35 million agency with 375 employees in Atlantic City and Trenton. The DGE investigates casino license applicants, enforces state gaming law and casino commission regulations, monitors daily casino operations, and tests electronic gaming equipment…" |
