New Jersey Accelerates Into Summer With Nascar Drivers' Instant Lottery Game

HARTFORD, Connecticut--(Press Release)--August 2, 2001--Ten grand prize trips to NASCAR races, and 2,000 merchandise prize packages will drive New Jersey lottery players to the finish line at retail locations for the biggest race game ever launched by a lottery, MDI Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ SC: LTRY) announced today.

In addition, the raceway riches instant game features a first-of-its-kind Internet promotional platform through MDI's new Lottery Bonus Zone. Players can review prize packages and merchandise and even enter the second chance drawings on-line in addition to through the mail.

Winners of the Grand Prize ``Winner's Choice Racing Trips'' can select any NASCAR racing event at any venue from the 2001-2002 season race calendar. The four-day, three-night trips for two and the selection of official NASCAR merchandise add value and excitement to the game.

Mr. Saferin also noted that the cutting edge Internet feature links lottery players and retailers to the Lottery Bonus Zone for even more fun, with trivia, player polls, fun facts and career stats of the featured drivers, including Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin and Jeff Burton. The web site has been developed for MDI and the Lottery by eLottery of Norwalk, Connecticut and powered by Imarcsgroup.com. The site will also include a schedule of Second Chance Bonus Drawings and lists of winners selected in the drawings. Through the Lottery Bonus Zone players will also be able to continue to register for remaining bonus drawings in the Lottery's SPAM instant game.

The New Jersey Raceway Riches game also includes a top cash prize of $30,000. Tickets cost $2 each. Pollard Banknote has printed approximately 5.4 million tickets for gross revenue to the Lottery of $10.8 million.
