New Casino Proposed in Arizona24 January 2001LAKE HAVASU CITY, Arizona – Jan. 24, 2001 – As reported by the Associated Press: "The Chemehuevi Indians are planning a $25 million casino expansion and development project across the Colorado River from Lake Havasu City. "The development project would include a new casino, conference center, marina, RV park and golf course, the casino's general manager, Roger Shuttleworth, told the City Council on Tuesday. "Expansions to the existing casino would include 300 new Las Vegas-style games, Shuttleworth said. "…Shuttleworth said the project already has a developer and said he expects local banks to provide the financing." |
