Mullarkey Resigns as Chief Financial Officer at IGT

5 July 2000

RENO, Nev., July 5 (Press Release) -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT - news) today announced the resignation of Maureen T. Mullarkey, Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the Company. She will leave IGT later this month to become Chief Financial Officer for Zoho(TM) Corporation (www.zoho.com).

G. Thomas Baker, IGT's President and Chief Operating Officer, will assume the title and duties of CFO in addition to his other responsibilities. Baker previously served as IGT's CFO from 1988 until his appointment to COO in 1996.

Mullarkey has been with IGT since 1989. She began her IGT career as a financial analyst. She was promoted to manager of corporate financial planning in 1991 and then became director of finance in 1993, before being named to her current position in 1996.

``We wish Maureen well at Zoho and appreciate the many contributions she has made to IGT during the past 11 years. She leaves in place a team of talented professionals who will help ensure a smooth transition,'' said Baker. ``My assumption of the CFO position is temporary, pending our announcement of Maureen's replacement.''
