Montana Casino Robbery Suspect Escapes29 April 2003BILLINGS, Montana -- As reported by the Billings Gazette: ``Law-enforcement officials across the region are searching for a Yellowstone County jail inmate who escaped through a window about 6:30 this morning. ``The suspect is identified as George Alan Cooper, 26, who was jailed as a suspect in seven Billings casino robberies and one in Lewis and Clark County. Yellowstone County sheriff's detectives are investigating how the 220-pound inmate could have escaped through a narrow jail window. ``…The suspect has brown hair, blue eyes and numerous tattoos on his torso. He is 5-feet, 10-inches tall and had a mustache at the time of his escape. Cooper was wearing a white two-piece inmate uniform at the time of his escape. ``…Cooper should be considered dangerous. Anyone who has information should call the Sheriff's Office at 256-2929…" |
