Montana Casino Backers to Try Again

BUTTE, Montana – As reported by the Associated Press: "Backers of a proposed $1.8 billion casino and entertainment complex here said they plan to pitch their plan again, even though the 2003 Legislature nixed wide-open gambling for the project.

"`The next time we do this, it has to be done absolutely right, and that takes planning,' developer Barrett Singer said.

"Critics of the measure said Foxx Industries, the Las Vegas-based group pushing the measure, lacked financial details on one of the largest projects ever proposed in the state…"
