Mohegan Tribe to Finance Washington Casino

WASHINGTON – As reported by the Associated Press: "The Mohegan Indians have agreed to develop and finance a casino in Washington state near Portland, Oregon. It's the second venture by the tribe.

"The Cowlitz Tribe hopes to build a casino near LaCenter in southwest Washington.

"…Mohegan Chairman Mark Brown says his tribe is trying to diversify into new and lucrative gambling markets beyond Connecticut…"
