Mississippi Casino Expanding7 May 2001BAY ST. LOUIS, Mississippi – May 7, 2001 – As reported by the Associated Press: ``Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis has received permits for construction of a $35 million, 300-room, 14-story hotel. ``The luxury hotel, the first new construction at the Hancock County resort since 1992, will be attached to the casino. The hotel will feature a complete spa with swimming pool, gift shops, 10,000 square feet of convention space and a 24-hour restaurant. ```This project is the single largest economic development tool in Bay St. Louis since Casino Magic originally located here,' said Bay St. Louis Mayor Eddie Favre. ``Casino Magic is the only casino in Bay St. Louis. It is one of 12 casinos on the coast. ``…The hotel is expected to open in summer 2002 and create 200 to 300 jobs..." |
