Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $90 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Lucky players nationwide continue to win big with the Mega Millions game. In Friday's Mega Millions drawing, a total of 570,477 tickets from coast to coast won prizes, including two tickets that won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, the jackpot grows an estimated $90 million for the Tuesday, October 18, 2005 drawing.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 06-20-24-25-34 and the Mega Ball number was 44.

The two tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Both tickets were purchased in Georgia.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
