Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $45 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Tuesday, April 27, 2004 Mega Millions drawing really brought out the winners! A total of 321,068 tickets in eleven states matched enough numbers to win Mega Millions' prizes. That includes 10 tickets that each won $175,000 and 22 tickets that each won $5,000. In fact, Mega Millions players won a total of $3,487,864 in Tuesday's drawing. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Friday, April 30, 2004 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $45 million.

Tuesday's winning numbers were: 01-10-17-23-35 and the Mega Ball number was 45.

The 10 tickets that won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000 matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number.

Those tickets were sold in Maryland (1), Michigan (1), New York (3), Texas (2), and Virginia (3). Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington State. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
