MaxLotto Introduces 'Lucky Slots' Online Scratch Game2 August 2001DOMINICA, West Indies —- (Press Release) -- August 2, 2001 -- MaxLotto Enterprises, the licensed gaming company behind the world's biggest continuous lottery, today unveiled ``Lucky Slots,'' an online scratch game with a grand prize of $125,000 -- the largest payout among MaxLotto's instant-win games. Each game card costs $2 and has a one-in-four chance of winning a cash prize, which range from $2 to $125,000. Based on traditional casino slot machines, ``Lucky Slots'' requires players to match three identical symbols in a row in order to win one of the six prizes. Each online game card has three rows of symbols to be ``scratched'' (uncovered by clicking the mouse button), giving players three chances to win each time they play. ``The launch of 'Lucky Slots' reflects the growing popularity of 'instant win' games among online gamers,'' said Robert Vogel, CEO of MaxLotto Enterprises, Inc. ``While our weekly $10 million and bi-weekly $100 million lotteries certainly attract an impressive number of global players, a sizable percentage report that it is the excitement and instant payouts of our scratch games that bring them to our site.'' There are six prize levels -- $2, $5, $10, $50 or $100, as well as the $125,000 grand prize. Winnings are automatically credited to players' accounts and can be immediately drawn upon to purchase additional tickets or play other games. Players can also request to cash out their account by check, credit card or wire transfer, depending on the amount won and how the winning tickets were originally bought. MaxLotto's registered players can purchase ``Lucky Slots'' game cards by clicking on the ``Scratch Games'' tab once they have logged in at MaxLotto Enterprises. Tickets for MaxLotto lotteries and games, which range from $.50 to $5.00, can be purchased online with a Visa or MasterCard credit or debit card, PayPal or via Western Union. Cash payouts for the grand prizes of the MaxLotto and miniMax lotteries are paid out as annuities over an extended period, as is the case with most U.S. lotteries. MaxLotto games are currently not open to residents of the United States or Dominica. All cited ticket prices and payouts are U.S.-dollar denominated. |
