Mattress Mack goes big on NCAA tournament17 March 2022(PRESS RELEASE) -- On the eve of Thursday’s opening Round of 64 games, Mattress Mack has placed his March Madness bet using the Caesars Sportsbook app in Louisiana. Mack made a $1,000,000 bet on the East Region to produce the tournament winner at +260 to win $2,600,000. The East Region features Baylor as the region’s top seed trying to defend their 2021 NCAA title as well as Texas coming in as a dangerous sixth seed. Both schools reside in Mack’s home state of Texas. Additional challengers in the region include Kentucky, Purdue, UCLA, St. Mary’s, and North Carolina. A Baylor championship would make them the first school to win consecutive championships since Billy Donovan’s Florida Gators went back-to-back in 2007-08. The only Texas-based school to ever win the NCAA championship besides Baylor was Texas Western (now UTEP) in 1966.
