Maryland gambling revenue up; Lottery sales down

MARYLAND -- Lottery sales are down 2.2 percent in Maryland, while Maryland casinos have seen 27.6 percent increase in revenue for same time period, the Baltimore Business Journal reported.

The decline in lottery sales was not unexpected, the report said.

The Horseshoe Baltimore Casino will open in 2014, the Baltimore Business Journal said.
