Man Sues Iowa Casino for Jackpot

ALTOONA, Iowa -- As reported by the Associated Press: "A Des Moines man who hit a slot machine jackpot at Prairie Meadows is suing the casino because he hasn't gotten his money.

"A Des Moines Register story shows Leo Waters, 71, hit a $10,000 jackpot last December

"Casinos routinely bar troublesome customers and often issue voluntary lifetime bans to problem gamblers who asked to be excluded.

"… Prairie Meadows says Waters was on the troublesome list when he won the jackpot. Officials say they don't have to pay him anything because he had lost all legal privileges."
