Little Brown Jug Prizes Announced

(Press Release)--July 19, 2000 -- A top handicapper can win two Hospitality Pavilion seats for the 2001 Little Brown Jug in the USTA's handicapping contest.

The contest will be spread over six weekends starting with the Coors Delvin Miller Adios Pace on August 12 and conclude with the elimination heats of the Little Brown Jug on September 21.

Other events included in the contest are: the Hoosier Cup elimination heats on August 19, Cane Pace Eliminations on August 26, Cane Pace Final on September 4, and the Jug Preview at Scioto Downs on September 9. There will be several eliminations for each of these important races.

In each event contestants must pick horses -- by head number -- to finish first, second or third in each race. All entries open 2 days before the event at 12:00 p.m., eastern time.

All entries close on race day at 12:00 noon, eastern, except the Little Brown Jug which will close at approximately 10 a.m., eastern, subject to change. Scoring is based on a 10-7-5 system. No entry fee is required.

The contestant who accumulates the most points at the end of the contest will win two Hospitality Pavilion seats for the 2001 Little Brown Jug, including admission, drinks, and food.

Second prize is four grandstand seats for the 2001 Jug, an the third prize is a Jug sports shirt and cap. Fourth through 10 place prizes will be Jug t-shirts.
