Jumping Black Flashes Past Sunny Casinos' Goat Race Contenders19 December 2001TRINIDAD and TOBAGO – (Press Release) -- Foxy Fe-mail had enjoyed the bulk of the pre-race publicity but it was Jumping Black Flash who sped off with the honors at Sunny Casinos' inaugural on-line goat race, which was staged on Monday, Dec. 17. From the starting gun, it was a foregone conclusion. Jumping Black Flash was off like a... well you guessed it. At the 40-metre mark, the judges were checking to see who would end up in second place. Casino Fortune's Sonny Boy answered that question while Foxy Fe-mail was made to settle for third spot in a highly entertaining and rewarding contest. Spare a thought for the young handlers who had to keep up with the healthy animals and, in fact, raised some eyebrows as well for their pace and dexterity. It was enough for a few Tobagonian spectators to loudly consider petitioning the International Olympic Committee for inclusion of their own unique sprinters. Watch out Maurice Greene and Ato Boldon! There was, of course, a deadly serious side to the fun of the novel event. Over 3,000 members participated, with 200 choosing the winning stead and Sunny Casinos was able to raise sufficient funds to buy gifts for all the children of the Cyril Ross Home, which is the main beneficiary of AidsChildren.org. So, thanks to Sunny Casinos' members, Santa Claus is definitely on his way to the Trinidad Home. Maybe he might even find room for a certain Jumping Black Flash in his reindeer fleet.
