JCM Unveils New Intelligent Cash Box System

The Intelligent Cash Box system has been endorsed by gaming manufacturers and has already received approval for use in Michigan. The system is also highly flexible and adaptable to particular gaming jurisdictions.

"The Intelligent Cash Box system is a tremendous tool to reduce the amount of work involved in tracking soft drop and soft count variance," said Tom Nugent, director of sales and marketing at JCM. "In analyzing the way casinos count their cash, we found multiple opportunities for human error, and therefore, potential variance. The ICB system significantly reduces manual errors. This efficiency will translate directly into increased profitability for a casino that would otherwise suffer from unnecessary accounting hours, fines because of variance or delayed reporting."

The system is a combination of a cash box, docking station and printer. The cash box is removed from a slot machine and placed on the docking station. The printer then gives a record of the box's memory, including date and time stamp, bar code and what slot machine it came from. Options can include total cash and denomination breakdown.
