Japanese Game Software Maker Buys U.S. Casino Firm6 August 2001TOKYO, Japan -- August 6, 2001 -- As reported by Kyodo News: ``Video game software maker Konami Co. said Monday it has bought a full stake in U.S. casino management system developer Paradigm Gaming Systems Inc. for $12 million through its wholly owned subsidiary. ``The acquisition is a key component of Las Vegas-based Konami Gaming Inc.'s strategic product offering and growth plans for the casino industry, Konami said in a release. ``Konami Gaming manufactures and sells game equipment for casinos in Nevada..." |
