IP Casino holds supply drive for flood victims6 September 2016(PRESS RELEASE) -- IP Casino Resort and Spa team members recently held a supply drive for the residents of Louisiana who were affected by the recent floods, and delivered two truckloads of goods to American Red Cross on 29 August. With the recent weather events taking place in Louisiana, IP team members felt compelled to help. Team members were encouraged to bring comfort and cleaning items approved by American Red Cross to build kits for distribution to those impacted by the devastating flooding. Supplies included comforts like toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouth washes, combs, shampoos and conditioners, soaps and deodorant, plus more toiletry and hygiene items. Kits for cleanup included supplies like brooms, mops, cleaning agents and more. In all, IP team members filled two large trucks full with cleanup and comfort supplies on 29 August for American Red Cross to distribute to those in need in Louisiana. In addition to the recent supply drive, IP has a history of supporting the American Red Cross as well as many other non-profit organizations in the Gulf Coast area. Earlier this year, IP awarded the Red Cross' Gulf Coast Chapter a check for $15,000, in addition to sponsoring Red Cross events throughout the year. Also on 29 August, IP's parent company Boyd Gaming contributed $50,000 to the American Red Cross in support of the ongoing relief efforts in Louisiana. Boyd Gaming will provide $50,000 to match cash donations to the Red Cross relief efforts in Louisiana from now until 12 September. To contribute, visit the Red Cross website.
