Intertops Poker players win $10,000 guaranteed tournament tickets6 June 2014(PRESS RELEASE) -- Olay, olay, olay, the Intertops Poker leaderboard contest is bringing football fever to the popular online poker room. Special poker tournaments beginning 90 minutes before each football group game will award tickets to a $10,000 GTD at the end of the festivities in Brazil. But first, Intertops’ World Cup celebrations begin with a $1000 Freeroll: Brazil $1000 Freeroll Tomorrow, June 10, 20:00 GMT (3:00 pm Eastern) Each leaderboard tournament will reference the name of the group that is being played. There will be six tournaments per group and each group will have six different tournament types: NLHE Freezeout, NLHE R&A, NLHE Wild West, NLHE Deepstack Freezeout, PLO Freezeout, PLO8 R&A. The Top 10 on each Leaderboard will receive tickets for the knockout phase. The winner will win a seat at a $10,000 GTD tournament to be held July 12th (buy-in $55). Second to fifth place players will each receive a Semi Final Step ticket and sixth to tenth place players in each tournament will receive a Quarter Final Step ticket. On the days in which knockout games are played, Intertops will run a special series of scheduled step tournaments that lead into the $10,000 Guaranteed event taking place on the Saturday before the Final. Players can step the whole way from the last 16 to the Final, getting a ticket for potentially one tenth of the final buy-in. It will also be possible to buy in directly at any step level.
