Internet Gambling Violation Disputed3 February 2004MISSOURI – As reported by the Kansas-City Star: ``The Missouri Gaming Commission is seeking to strip a Nevada-based slot machine manufacturer of its state license because a subsidiary allegedly offered Internet gambling in violation of state law. ``According to a court documents filed in Cole County Circuit Court last week by the commission, Sierra Design Group's Internet-based subsidiary Arcade Planet Inc. had more than 500 registered customers from Missouri. ``The court filing was the commission's first public comment on the issue since it flared at a public meeting last month. ``…Sierra says that Arcade voluntarily blocked Internet gambling by Missouri players, but the Gaming Commission contended in last week's formal answer to the company's lawsuit that Arcade 'does not have the technology to block players from specific jurisdictions.'…" |
