Interactive Gaming & Wagering Announces Partnership with e-Success Citadel13 February 2001OMAHA, Nebraska -- (Press Release) -- Feb. 13, 2001 -- Global Entertainment Holdings/Equities Inc. (OTCBB:GAMM) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Interactive Gaming and Wagering N.V. (IGW), incorporated e-Success' payment fraud detection system into its own application, the Internet and Telephony Sportsbook and Casino System. ``The Citadel fraud detection system is a key component to the complete gaming solution we offer our clients,'' said Bryan Abboud Managing Director of IGW. ``Fraud is a big concern of anyone in e-commerce, especially in online gaming, and we believe the Citadel system will be an important tool for our clients to manage this issue,'' added Mr. Abboud. e-Success Citadel provides a system that allows credit card transaction data, or other payment information, to be evaluated against a large database of records accumulated from payment experiences of participating merchants and data added from independent sources. By sending transactions first to e-Success Citadel, clients are advised of transactions that should be avoided due to potential fraud. e-Success Citadel generates revenue based on charging a nominal percentage of the value of each transaction scored. ``We are very pleased to include IGW as one of our customers'', stated Michael Meeks, President of e-Success. ``IGW is a well established and highly respected developer of Internet gaming sites, and they are an instrumental client in further developing our fraud detection business.'' ``With Citadel integrated into IGW's gaming systems we can offer fraud detection services to all of IGW's licensees''. Meridien Research estimates that by 2001, online credit card fraud could cost merchants $9 billion a year, and by 2003 the costs could reach $15 billion. Fraud rates for merchants selling digital goods can reach in excess of 30%. |
