Indoor Bridge Links Atlantic City Casinos

3 July 2002

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Associated Press: "Park Place Entertainment Corp. unveiled a $25 million connector Tuesday that links two of its casinos, allowing patrons indoor access between them.

"The Gateway, an enclosed second-story walkbridge that also features a ballroom and 10,000 square feet of retail space, allows gamblers to walk between Bally's Atlantic City and the Claridge Casino Hotel.

"In fact, the walkbridge now makes it possible to walk between four Park Place Entertainment properties without going outside. Bally's Atlantic City is linked to Bally's Wild, Wild West casino, which is linked to Caesars Atlantic City Hotel Casino.

"…Bally's Atlantic City President Kenneth Condon said the connector will help make the Claridge feel more accessible to gamblers who have long considered it an off-Boardwalk casino.."
