IF Björklöven penalized by Swedish Gaming Authority

30 August 2024

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Swedish Gaming Authority has reviewed how IF Björklöven complies with the requirements set for physical lotteries, information to players and technical requirements.

The Swedish Gaming Authority considers that it is not appropriate from a general point of view to change the announced draw date. The physical lotteries also do not meet the technical requirements of the Gambling Act and the regulations of the Swedish Gaming Authority. The Swedish Gaming Authority has also established that there was a lack of information on the lotteries and that information to players in relevant parts was also not available in any other way. IF Björklöven thus also violates these provisions in the Gambling Act and the regulations of the Gambling Authority. IF Björklöven is therefore given a warning and a penalty fee of SEK 20,000.

IF Björklöven is licensed to provide games for public benefit purposes. The license refers to post-drawn number lotteries with physical lottery tickets.
