How to Lose at Gambling

LAS VEGAS – As reported by the National Post: "It's been said that blackjack is a casino gambler's best friend. On paper, that may be true. But after losing US$600 in a Las Vegas hour and a half, I'm apt to disagree.

"In retrospect, sitting down at the blackjack table was my first mistake. But restraint and measured opinion -- qualities journalists should maintain at all times -- weren't on the brain.

"A few games of blackjack made sense to me after the alcohol from number of drinks consumed at a nearby restaurant with fellow Canucks was blended with a desire to let loose after a particularly trying day at the Consumer Electronics Show, an annual trade show held in the U.S. desert city.
