High-Tech Security Deployed in Las Vegas Casino

3 March 2000

Viisage Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: VISG) said its patented facial recognition system has been installed at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The system was marketed and installed y Biometrica Systems, Inc. of Mt. Vernon, New Hampshire. Biometrica is a spin-off of Viisage Technology.

The Stratosphere is a high-traffic casino with a number of unique security challenges, Viisage said, and has deployed its non-intrusive facial recognition technology to reduce fraud costs.

Applications of Viisage systems include Internet, electronic and physical access control; real-time image identification and verification; drivers' licenses; voter registration; national ID's; law enforcement; and social services.

Domestically, Viisage products annually produce more than 20 million identification documents at more than 1,500 locations in 13 states.
